Fiberglass fabrics

There is a wide range of materials used in industry nowadays. Among them, there are for example fiberglass fabrics, allowing to create parts for cars, elements for airplanes and helicopters or even elements needed to build wind farms. More and more often, specialized complex fabrics are applicable in trenchless sewer renovations. At BauTex, we produce roving, skewed and complex fabrics. Our fabrics can be successfully used to reinforce polymer composites. We adjust the production technology to our customers needs. We set all the details at the very beginning, before starting the process of producing the ordered materials.

Glass fabrics in the BauTex offer

Fiberglass fabrics owe their strength to the appropriate distribution of individual fibers, most often running at right angles. The type of weave is selected in accordance with the specific purpose of the product. The appropriate technique of warp and weft interweaving guarantees the expected parameters in terms of its durability and flexibility. Glass fabrics are created for industrial use, so they must be of high quality. For this reason, finished products are thoroughly tested before delivery to the customer. Please contact us to learn more about the production details, as well as possible applications of the offered fiberglass fabrics.

Properties of glass fabrics

Thanks to very good physical and chemical parameters, fabrics made of glass fiber are willingly used in various industries. They show high resistance to mechanical damages, including abrasion or tearing, they are also non-flammable, although they can melt under the influence of very high temperatures. Glass fabrics are a unique material - they are both stiff and flexible. In addition, they do not absorb water and do not react to most chemical compounds. Glass fiber is characterized by electrical insulation, and as a plastic material, it is not susceptible to mold and fungus.
